About
Global Surf School & Camp was established in 2007, at Praia Areia Branca – Lourinhã near Peniche. The surf center and the surf house are located just 50 meters from the beach. The focus of our surf lessons is on the individuals needs, no matter if the student is a beginner or an intermediate / advanced surfer who wants to improve his experiences and skills. To reach this goal we group our students according to their individual experiences and skills.

- Due to changing tides exact surf lesson start times are not decided until the week of your lesson.
- After you book we will contact you the week of your lesson to tell you your lessons start time.
Kids Surf
Classes for kids since 6 Y.O. You can choose 1 lesson (1h30) or 2 lessons (1h30 each) per day with a certified trainer. All necessary equipment (wetsuit+board) is included, as weel as sport insurance and transport if it's necessary. Kids needs a permission from a legal represetative. If you book more than 2 kids from the same family we offer one class for the representative adult.
Beginner Surf
You can choose 1h30 lesson per day or 2 (1h30) lessons per day. All necessary equipment (wetsuit+board) is included, as well as certified trainer, sport insurance and trasnport if it's necessary. We will hellp you with Safety rules, How to put the body on the board, how to paddle, handle and sit, Line up positioning.
Intermediate Surf
You can choose 1h30 lesson per day or 2 (1h30) lessons per day certified trainer, sport insurance and transport if it's necessary. We will hellp you with Diagnosing take off and surf in general, Surf material to your level, Improvement of techniques for paddling and positioning. Video analysis.
Advanced Surf
You can choose 1h30 lesson per day or 2 (1h30) lessons per day, certified trainer, sport insurance and transport if it's necessary. We will hellp you with, Duck dive and eskimo roll, Timing, reading the waves and priority rules, How to surf different waves, How to gain speed and timming, Turns on the base of the wave and on the top, maneuvers (cut back, floater). Video analysis.
Private Surf
Private Lessons for all levels of surf. Private lessons large as 3 peolple.
Surf Guide
The surf guide is only available for advanced groups and for at least 3 days of reservation. You will surf the best waves with an experienced local surfer.

This amazing uncrowded coastline between Santa Cruz to Praia da Areia Branca offers many beach breaks and reefs. With beach breaks in each town suitable for learning and many off the beaten track waves along the coastline it is a great place to explore without the concern for large crowds.
Santa Cruz beach break gets good swell and waves are great on small to medium west swells. It can get crowded in the summer months but you only have to walk five minutes to find a peak that is quieter.
Praia da Areia Branca gets consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds and best around low tide when the tide is falling. Even when there are waves, it's not likely to be crowded. Take care of urchins and rocks.

Payment
- A small deposit is required to secure your booking.
- Your balance is due when you arrive at the beach.
Cancelling
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- After the confirmation being made, we accept cancellations in the following cases: Up to one month before arrival we refund the full amount of the deposit reserve; Until two weeks we charge 30% of the deposit reserve; Less than two weeks, we not refund the value and the customer get credit for use during a year; Upon arrival we not refund the value, except for sickness or accident.
What happens if the surf school cancel the Surf Lessons?
In the rare occasion that conditions do not allow for the surf lesson to go ahead you will be given a full refund.
