These spacious, self to contained villas are located on the absolute beachfront of Madiha Beach in Southern Sri Lanka. Location
Chillax villas are located on Madiha beach in the most ideal spot imaginable for a surfer. The main A to frame wave breaks directly in front of the villas with fun left and right hand waves (the right handers are more consistent). There is a second wave that breaks just 150m down the beach which is a barreling left hander. Both waves can be viewed from both villas so you can start your day with a morning surf check directly from your private balcony. The waves at Madiha are best suited to intermediate to advanced surfers. For beginners there are many other beaches close by that are more suitable and many surf schools offering beginner lessons. The best season for surf is from November till April.
Chillax Villas are located on the pristine beach front of Madiha, at the southern tip of Sri Lanka. Only 7 km from the tourist hub of Mirissa and 5 km from the city of Matara.

Madiha Right Hander (a.k.a Secrets)
Level: Intermediate
A consistent right to hander with a wall that offers variety.
Occasionally barrels as it is in relatively deep water.
Reef/Sand bottom.
There are a couple of take off spots and can be a 250m long ride.
Its a bit of a swell magnet and will attract some crowds when everywhere else is flat.
Sometimes breaks as a left to hander as well on the right swell direction.
You can watch this wave from all Chillax Villas balconies as its right out the front.
Madiha Left Hander (a.k.a. Turtles)
Level: Intermediate
A left hand breaking wave over relatively shallow reef.
Bottom is mostly old reef with some new reef growth spots.
Depending on swell direction it can be a fast barreling wave or a slower wave with a playful wall.
Can provide up to 100m long rides.
Plenty of turtles around this area
Not recommended for unskilled riders!
Located just 200m walk from chillax Villas, you can do a surf check from all our balconies.
Mirissa Point
Level: Intermediate
Right hand point break.
Located in the protected corner of Mirissa beach and Mirissa headland. There are a number of take off spots and occasional left.
Swell direction can change the wave characteristics considerably. Reef, rock and sand bottom.
Worth a trip to check it out, as its one of the most scenic surf spots on the planet, and there are plenty of great beach bars to have a beverage at.
One of the few spots that handle the monsoon westerly winds (May to Sept). 7km trip from Chillax Villas.
Weligama Beach Break
Level: Beginner
A long beautiful beach with many peaks depending on the sand banks.
It's the home of the modern "surf school" with many operators offering a surf experience in most languages.
This is where we send beginners from Chillax Villas, and depending on swell it can be good for all levels.
All sand bottom, lefts and rights.

November - March is the dry season and has the most consistent surf.
Weligama is a perfect beginner and intermediate surf break. It is arguable the most consistent beach break on the South Coast.
Only a quick 4KM and ten minutes by tuk-tuk from Weligama is the idyllic Mirissa. A quiet stretch of beach that has turquoise and crystal clear waters on beaches fringed by palms.
Mirissa is an established stop-off for surfers, with two breaks at either end of the beach. There is a right-hander reef break near the rocks that doesn’t generate much power, that is great for those who are progressing on to reef. And an equally good left-hander close to the harbour.

- Your balance is due to the property 28 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 28 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
- You can cancel anytime up to 30 days before travelling and you will be refunded the balance.
