Our beachside accommodation is ultra to comfortable, clean, and relaxed. Each double room has its own private bathroom, and a full sea view.
There is a small swimming pool that overlooks the ocean, with plenty of space to store your surfboards. There are three communal relaxing areas with beautiful tranquil views of the quiet beach outside the property. Relax, barbecue with our surf guides and take in the quiet beach lifestyle of the West Coast.
Breakfast is included in your accommodation fee. Surf lessons, guiding and equipment is available on request.
Location

Beginner Surf Lessons
The West Coast of South Africa offers a variety of waves suited for beginners. You'll learn about the ocean, and how to appreciate and understand it. Our surf lessons include surfboard rentals, as well as wetsuit rentals. This, along with your experienced surf instructor, is everything you need to have a fun day in the ocean. Our maximum surf instructor to student ratio is 1:3.
Surf Guide
We specialise in surf guiding along the coast of South Africa. Our surf guiding services are offered to intermediate and advanced surfers. Our goal is to ensure you're in the right place, at the right time- meaning you never miss a wave. Our experience and local knowledge means we're able to guide you to pumping, uncrowded waves with tons of variety to suit any rider.
Koeel Bay
Level: Intermediate
Powerful right hand wedge beach break in the most epic setting imaginable. This wave is at the foot of a mountain range with spectacular landscapes surrounding the wave. Predominantly more consistent in the Summer months. The wave picks up a lot of swell and is not for the faint hearted.

Betty's Bay
Level: All Levels
A more sheltered peaky beach break that offers lefts and rights for any skill level. This wave is in very close proximity to the Saffa Beach House.The setting is picturesque, nestled in mountains. It can handle larger winter swells and generally works better in Winter months. This wave favours the winter winds.
Kleinmond
Level: Intermediate
Predominantly left to breaking wave. Has a strong current that forces the wave into a rip bowl that can offer good barrels and fun sections when the conditions align.
Onrus
Level: All Levels
A wave that consistently changes and can offer barrels and ramps for all skill levels. Predominantly a right hand wave but offers the occasional left. This is a well to known wave, it becomes a world class beach break when the conditions align.
Elands Bay
Level: Intermediate
Eland’s Bay hamlet sits on a sandy riverbank, waiting for a swell to hit The Point. Steep drops into fast tubular walls, spinning across a kelp covered, low tide reef before bending into a sandy end section at the rivermouth.
Britannia Bay
Level: Beginner
Gentle rolling waves on a completely uncrowded beach makes for the perfect learn to surf spot.

Thx Tracey and Ruan! Was a blast being your guest, I am really happy about everything you planned for me to make my trip in South Africa so unique and priceless. I’m really impressed with how passionate you are about showing your guests a good time and how you specifically planned my trip with everything I was up to. Everything was about fun and seeing beautiful, local and unknown places. I’m gonna miss you all. You made me feel so comfy, can’t thank you enough for the great time I had!

How did you like the accommodation?
I did a week surf tour as a solo traveler and honestly it was one of the best trips I’ve ever done in my life. It was my first time visiting South Africa and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to South African waves and culture. Ru and Tracey are LEGENDS! Ru’s local insight and knowledge of surf breaks across South Africa and Namibia is unrivalled. He knew which breaks would be working given the weather and swell conditions and he was spot on. We surfed some really fun waves, and when the waves weren’t on, Ru and Tracey had a list of other awesome activities like waterfall hikes and cliff jumping in some of the most beautiful places. And Tracey’s cooking is amazing! Every day they prepared delicious meals with fresh ingredients, and introduced me to some awesome traditional South African dishes. I’m honestly still stoked and cannot wait to bring some friends back to this gem. Ru and Tracey are the most gracious and accommodating hosts and I cannot recommend this tour enough. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of South Africa, hang with some of the kindest and coolest people, and surf some fun waves. I had such a blast and cannot wait to do it again!

How did you like the accommodation?
I can't think of a better way to experience South African surf than using the services of South Africa Surf Tours. The surf lodge that accommodates all guests feels like home immediately, with beautiful bedrooms, stunning scenery, and two of the most likable Husky dogs you will ever meet. Your visit will consist of munching on delicious seafood as well as experiencing a traditional South African Braai. Last but certainly not least, the surf you will experience is incredible. Big, pitching waves with howling off shores that will make your favorite break back at home seem boring. Not to mention, you will have it all to yourselves. I can't speak highly enough of the hosts, Ru and Tracey, who do everything to make you feel right at home. South Africa Surf Tours is where it is at!

How did you like the accommodation?
The accommodation was very nice, a little country style and very clean. The hosts are amazing. It is a really lovely couple who would do anything for you. They really made the best trip out of it for us. We did amazing hikes, had a very nice braai and we went to friends of them which was very nice.
How were the surf lessons?
The surf lessons were nice, but it werent really surf lessons. It was just a push and he didnt explained anything or else. It was very funny tho, but we didnt learn very much of it. Of course you have to learn by doing it but he could have done a little bit more.
However, he did look after us and he was very nice
the beaches were amazing, with beautiful view. The only thing was with the last beach, he knew that the water was freezing cold, and he only had a short wetsuit for me, so i only could be in the water for like half an hour, otherwise I would freeze..

How did you like the accommodation?
If you are looking for a highly personalized experience with true local guides, this is the place to be. Ru knows every corner in the wider area and can show you the best spots to surf and hike (there are plenty on offer).
Particularly appreciated were: the amazing breakfast, trail run at 7 am in the morning, fresh crayfish braai with Tracey and Ru’s friends.
At the end of the trip, I got the impression that I have a second home in Kleinmond, South Africa.
