Espinho is a small city, located just 20 km from Oporto and it's considered to be the best beach to surf in the north of Portugal. It's home to one of the best Junior European Surf events.

Surf Lessons we offer:
Kids Surf Lessons
We offer surf and bodyboard lessons for kids from age 4 to 12 years old. Each lesson is up to 2 hours and include surf equipment, insurance and surf coach. Our goal for your kids is SAFETY and FUN!
Beginner Surf Lessons
Learn to surf and have fun! That's our goal! Our Begginers Lessons have 2 hours, it includes surf equipment, insurance and surf coach with a ration of 5 studends for one surf coach (maximum).
The surf lessons are allways during low tide so your safety is garanteed and we will go trough the first steps of Surfing, such as safety rules, position on top of the board, stand up and paddling.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
In intermediate Surf Lessons our goal is to push your surf level and ocean knowledge further, allways thinking about having fun at the same time! The subjects will be about safety surf rules, position on the peak, paddling to the peak, green waves, take off, bottom turn and curves. Intermediate Lessons have 2 hours, it includes surf equipment, insurance and surf coach with a ration of 5 studends.
Advanced Surf Lessons
You want to improve your performance in surfing? We also have Advanced surf lessons where we go trough a process of video recording your trainning, giving feed back on your perfomance and establishing goals for your surf lesson.
Advanced Lessons have 2 hours, it includes surf equipment, insurance and surf coach with a ration of 5 students.
Private Surf Lessons
If you rather have a Surf Coach just for you, we also have that option. The surf lesson will be at your rhytm and fun!
Private Lessons have 2 hours, it includes surf equipment, insurance and surf coach exclusive.

Stand Up Paddle Lessons are also available for when it's flat waves of high tide. The lessons are 2 hours includes SUP equipment, insurance and SUP coach.

The best time to surf Porto is between Spring through to Autumn. It's main surf beach is Matosinhos beach, the best surf spot in Porto for beginner and intermediates. Its a long 1km sandy beach with a few different points on it. The set up is a mix of beach break and reef break and parts of it are sheltered so it handles larger swell. Easy to get to and consistent.
Next to Matosinhos is International Beach. A lovely spot that begins where the city park ends. Its also a great learner spot, and a great place to hang out both during day and at night. Further north is Leca, a very consistent beach break protected by the harbour.
In and around the city there are small little beaches all worth exploring, particularly for the more advanced surfers wanting to discover the best Porto surf breaks.
There are more surf breaks further south including Barra do Porto and Miramar and then 20km south of Porto are the towns of Esphino and Esmoriz. Its arguably the North's most famous surf area and the beaches have a real nice surf culture. The area's 3 main beaches are Silvade, beach, Blue beach and Baia beach. A mix of sandy beach breaks and reef spots that suit beginner and advanced. Hang around and score some long barreling right & left handers all to yourself.

Travelled with family
How did you like the accommodation?
The location was just great, 50 m from the beach. We just need to get out and a few steps we're right there on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and shops around, we enjoyed ice-cream, pizza and sunshine and shopping. The surf school was right down stairs and the lessons on the beach in front so very convenient and relaxing. Room decorations are beautiful. We had the three female dormitory, the room was basic but good enough. Noise from the street and from other room can be expected as it's in a very busy place. Sanitary and kitchen needs some upgrade but the team did there best with cleaning each day. The kitchen was convenient with some salt pepper available so you don't need to buy those stuff for a short stay.
How were the surf lessons?
Instructors were of great kindness and listening. They care the most for our needs. We had 4 kids surf for my daughter of 10y and 5 beginners lessons for my son of 14 years. Unfortunately the last lesson of my daughter was canceled due to high waves the last day (12 august). They enjoyed the lessons very much. My daughter appreciated French-speaking lessons opportunity and my son the opportunity to speak English. All equipment was included, we could even borrow some to practice outside the lessons time, the price was awesome, everything was just perfect. We had umbrella and volleyball available in the kitchen which was very useful. The transfer to and from the airport was perfect. I appreciate their availability at early hour of departure. Just all we need. Thank you so much. We'll come again if opportunity!

I’m a great location, close to the beach and station. Everything we needed was within proximity. Paulo is also very accommodating.
How were the surf lessons?
The instructors were instructive, fun, nice, and patient. We had a great time, will definitely return!

How did you like the accommodation?
Great location! Just one street away from the beach and there are views of the ocean from the balconies in the surf house. There are also lots of little shops and restaurants nearby and getting into Porto is super easy by train. The rooms were very clean and the house is very nicely decorated in a surf theme.
How were the surf lessons?
The instructors were lots of fun and very helpful in improving my skills. Beaches were nice with lots of waves to surf on.

How did you like the accommodation?
The surf house was perfect! It was small but very cozy! It has a complete kitchen with pots, pans, stove, oven, microwave, plates etc! They also have a nice living area that is good to hangout and chill. There are nearby restaurants everywhere and the supermarket is near too. It is only 2 minutes away from the train station and is right beside the beach. The house itself is also very cute and I like the decorations.
How were the surf lessons?
The surf school was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and the surf coaches were very helpful to improve your technique. They will also push you to your limits and make you better every lesson.
