The Place

ArugamBay Podbay is a one-of-a-kind beach resort featuring colorful concept, located in the heart of Arugam Bay alongside Sri Lanka’s spectacular southeastern coast. The resort is vibrant and chic, and extends from main road to the beach.

The novel concept features colourful and compact NapPods arranged symmetrically together in the front and HomePod and Bay rooms facing the WaterPod (swimming pool), Sea & AirPod (beach). The spacious restaurant is known as the PotPod.

The name ArugamBay PodBay is inspired by the famous line ‘Open the Pod Bay doors HAL’ from the sci-fi movie ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ based on the novel by Sir Arthur C. Clarke, and Apple’s invention of the iPod by Steve Jobs.

We provide Airport Transfers from and to Colombo International Airport (CMB) and they can be booked in the booking steps.

Intermediate Surf Lessons

Perfect your surfing techniques with a surf trainer, at one of the surfing spots located close to the hotel.

- Private lessons on a 1:1 basis
- Lessons are $10/hr or $30/day for a 3 hour lesson
- Surf boards are available for hire on site for $6/day
- Availability depends on weather and surfing conditions, as well as the availability of surf trainers

Payment

  • A small deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • Your balance is due to the property 90 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 90 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
