Location

The Villa is located in Parque da Floresta, Budens, at the southcoast of Portugal, right between Lagos and Sagres. In this south western part of the Algarve you will find a huge variety of beaches, hiking trails (nature reserve Costa Vicentina) and world class waves to surf on.

Closest beach is Salema (5 minutes by car), where you can also have good seafood. In a 20min radius by car there are countless beaches for surfing such as Luz, Zavial, Beliche, Cordoama, and Amado. Famous Arrifana is also only a 40 mins ride. Beach transfers for surf lessons are included. The rather calm waters of the south coast are ideal for SUP tours where you can see amazing coves.

Lagos and Sagres are 15 minutes by car and offer a vast variety of culinary delights and some nightlife. There is a SPA in Parque de Floresta for a variety of treatments (optional).

The Place

A luxury villa with pool and seaview situated in a well maintained golf resort. The villa accommodates up to 10 guests in 3 suites (en-suite bathroom) and 2 double rooms (shared bathroom), all high standard.

It has big terraces and chill out areas with hammocks in the nice mediterranean garden,a big living room (with fireplace), dining room and fully equipped kitchen, free WiFi. Breakfast and lunch packages, 1 Welcome BBQ and 1 Portuguese seafood dinner included, vegetarian dinner package optional. Yoga & surf lessons, guiding & all equipment is all available on site.

Duarte

This part of the Algarve consisting of a west- and southcoast with numerous small coves and wide stretches of beach offer perfect waves for beginners and advanced all year round. According to wind and swell direction and -size we are able to find the best spot suiting your skill-lever in a 40 minutes driving radius. Beaches nearby worth mentioning are Zavial, Beliche, Cordoama, Amado, Ariffana.

Surf Lessons we offer:

Kids Surf Lessons

We offer surfing lessons for kids (6-12) to encourage first contact with the ocean in knee deep water and very small waves. Fun and safety are priority in this stage. Kids enter water only with surf instructor. There will be one dedicated surf instructor with the kid all the time. Parents can stay close by or surf themselves. Beach shuttle to surf lessons included.

Beginner Surf Lessons

The lessons are approx. 2 hours per day in small groups at a student teacher ration of 4:1 in which you will learn how to stand up in waist to chest deep water and surf on whitewater waves. All material needed, such as board, leash, wetsuit, lycra, wax, as well as pick up at the villa and shuttle to the beach are included. You will have a packed lunch to take to and enjoy at the beach.

Intermediate Surf Lessons

The lessons are approx. 2 hours per day in small groups at a student teacher ration of 4:1 in which you will learn how to controll whitewater waves and take-off and surf on green waves. All material needed, such as board, leash, wetsuit, lycra, wax, as well as pick up at the villa and shuttle to the beach are included. You will have a packed lunch to take to and enjoy at the beach.

Advanced Surf Lessons

Also called surf guiding / surfari. Our surf guide takes you to the spots with the waves suiting best your skills and goals set for this week to train specific maneuvers or just to have fun. Search and session last usually 3 hrs. Driving can be up to 40 mins. A wide variety of boards can be rented. You will have a packed lunch to take to and enjoy at the beach.

Private Surf Lessons

Can be booked extra and will be tailored to your needs.

Surf Guide

Our surf guide takes you to the spots with the waves suiting best your skills and goals set for this week to train specific maneuvers or just to have fun. Search and session last usually 3 hrs. Driving can be up to 40 mins. A wide variety of boards can be rented. You will have a packed lunch to take to and enjoy at the beach.

Yoga

You will enjoy yoga two times a day, held in our yoga pavillon surrounded by trees or at one of our 2 big wooden decks. All locations have amazing seaview. Yoga teachers vary. Yoga styles taught are Ashtanga, Iengar, Vinyasa and power yoga tailored to surfers needs. Activating in the morning and relaxing in the evening. All yoga equipment, such as mats, blocks, belts and blankets are included.

SUP Lessons

The SUP lessons are approx. 1,5 hours per day in small groups at a student teacher ration of 4:1 in which you will learn how to stand up, control and maneuver your SUP board in flat and protected water. All material needed, such as board, leash, wetsuit, lycra, wax, as well as pick up at the villa and shuttle to the beach are included. Enjoy your healthy packed lunch provided at beach.
