Noodle
Level: Intermediate
Noodle is a short boat ride from the resort. Picks up alot of swell so we generally head over there on smaller days.
Right hand peak that runs down a outer reef. Speedy hollow section that then mellows to a cutback sections followed by another runner that often links to the next section that can turn this funs wave into a real leg burner.
On bigger swell the Peak can be pretty heavy with some big slabby barrel sections. Paddling back out is generally not a problem.
Pier
Level: All Levels
The Pier is a classic all rounder wave. Some days its absolutely firing due to the shifting sand and then on another day It could be soft and mellow.
Two different sections: both are rights. One on the right side and the other on the left side of the pier. you can paddle under the pier to access ether. We do alot of our surf lessons here. Low tide is the preferred tide but as it gets bigger it is also fun on the higher tide.
Five O
Level: Intermediate
Five O aptly named after a 80s show from Hawaii Five O, The wave resembling the wave in the intro of the show.
Fast Hollow left with generally one section depending on tide. Can be surfed through the full tide cycle but beware, as it gets bigger can be gnarly even at the highest of high tides. When its smaller 3' days then it can be very mellow and even a beginners wave at high tide.
Generally need a boat unless you are super fit. The problem is not paddling out to the wave but rather getting back to yhe beach after a long session. The lagoon channel sweeps passed the inside of the wave, this can make it dangerous if you are already tired. Thats why you stay with us and we take you out there on our boat.
B&B
Level: Intermediate
B&B Is located on the barrier reef directly infront of our resort. Long, super long right hander that needs some swell befor it starts to break. The takeoff can be pretty heavy barrel section followed by a looooong down the line bashable wave. Generally only the take off section is hollow depending on tide. Low tide the whole wave is hollow but difficult to get to at low tide unless you walk accross the 1.5km long reef. We always take the boat out to B&B.
On smaller days it can also be very fun for beginners and for playing around on the SUP.
Dog Leg 1 & 2
Level: All Levels
Another long Right hand set up. On the barrier reef infront of the resort. There is a upper and a lover section. Punchy and hollow, easy to surf and get little barrels. Only problem is its low tide dependent, On neap tides we can surf it all day but spring tides we only get about an hour of optimal Dogleg. Needs a big swell to wrap around. The bottom section ends in the channel where we usually moor the boat.
The Point
Level: All Levels
Fun Left hand wave, breaking from a The Slab down to the beach. Breaks most days and can handle about 6'. The bigger the better until it starts closing out. Easy Beach access and channel on the side makes is a fairly safe and beginner friendly wave but also offers a very bashable running face.
