Kids Surf Lessons
For a good and safe learning the ratio is 1 instructor: 1 kid. We offer lessons for kids aged 5-12. In order to guarantee your kid’s safety, the surf instructor will always be behind the board to stabilise it and take control of it if necessary. This also helps your kid to move backward and forward on the board and start to make the first steps for their future surfing. All equipment & transfer.
Beginner Surf Lessons
Each lesson lasts 2 hours and it is organised in the warming up with a proper surf technique on the boards at the beach and in the second part of practise in the water. Our surf instructor will always be behind the students holding the board (with fins on his feet!) during the moment of the take off in order to stabilise it and guarantee that the first steps will be as easy as possible!
Intermediate Surf Lessons
During the intermediate surf lesson we will focus on the last steps to improve your position and your weight distribution on the board, with the purpose of teaching you how to read waves and moving your weight depending on that! Every surf lessons lasts 2 hours and includes custom technique session outside of the water and a lot of surf. The instructor will ride next you on his board!
Private Surf Lessons
Private lessons are the best way to improve with a custom training depending on your level. We pick you up from the accomodation, take you for surfing and take you back home with a big smile on your face! We got the possibility to call a photographer and use the picture for the post surf analysis.
Yoga
We offer Yoga once a week with the possibility of booking more lessons during the stay
SUP Lessons
After every surf lessons, we provide the free use of our Stand Up Paddle boards
El Medio
Level: Beginner
El Medio is one the main waves in Playa Las Americas. It is a good choice for beginners and intermediate. El Medio has a smooth rocky bottom. The line up is easy to reach thanks to the channels on the sides and the A to frame breaks smoothly into a medium to long righthander and a really long and bit more powerful leftander. The first line generates good white wash for starting catching the first waves. Often really crowded. Best tide: low to mid
Derecha del conquistador
Level: Advanced
La derecha is a really long right to hander wave for advanced surfer. The wave breaks fast in the peak but goes on with lower speed. Rocky bottom.
Piscina
Level: Intermediate
The perfect wave for longboarders, A to frame breaking really slow, with longer ways on the left. Rocky bottom. Not so crowded.
El Dedo
Level: Advanced
Really powerful and fast Right to hander or lefthander wave. Rocky bottom, pretty shallow water. Not so crowded
The J
Level: Advanced
Really long right to hander in Las Americas that breaks when the swell hits the corner from the west or north to west. Not so crowded.
Fitenia
Level: All Levels
Good A to frame that breaks on rocky bottom. Not so crowded. It usually works when the swell comes from the south, differently than all the other spots in Las Americas.
El Medano
Level: Beginner
Sandy beach in the south of the island. Waves are not consistant, but it is a really good place where to learn the basics.
The best surf in Lanzarote for advanced levels happens in the winter months from November to March. However for beginners and intermediates it is a year round surf destination.
The area has two main surf areas, the North coast and the South coast. The East coast has some ok beach breaks but it is not that reliable.
The greatest concentration of surf spots is between the southern tourist towns of Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos. Spanish Left is one of Tenerifes more famous spots. A left wave, steep and powerful, working from a pushing low tide. Reef shoes recommended. It is right in the centre of Playa de Las Americas and is definitely a more advanced spot. Nearby are easier beaches perfect for learning.
Also south are El Conquistador (South) , a beautiful, long, fast right especially at the start. and The Fitenia (South) which has both lefts and right options.
Along the North of the island you have some of Tenerife's best beginner and intermediate surf spots including the Bajamar Reefs and also Playa del Socorro. Its located close to the town of Puerto de la Cruz, about an hour from Playa de Las Americas. The spot is dominated by mountains overlooking the ocean and is a fascinating sight. It’s a real amphitheater with crystal clear water and year round surf.
That is just a small sample, there are many more surf spots to explore and experience on a Tenerife Surfing Holiday.
