Location

Olón is the preferred location for beginners in Ecuador. Next to door Montañita is of course the best bet for advanced surfers, but the crowded beach on one side, and the rocks on the other side make it less recommended for beginners. That's why so many surfers come from Montañita to Olón to try out their first waves: Loads of nice waves, not too big nor too small, one after the other. The beach is very long, 7km without any rocks and with only small areas of crowds, only in the weekend!

Olón itself is a very nice and tranquil beach to town, with wide streets, public lighting, low crime and well to kept houses & lots of villas. The beach of Olón is lined with rustic wooden cabins, offering fresh coconuts, cocktails and a variety of seafood during the day!

In the town to center of Olón, you will find a few Pizzerias, BBQ & Taco places, along with a variety of local restaurants. But, we can highly recommend our own restaurant, opened december 2015: 'CIELO 360' by Rincón d'Olón! Of course, Montañita is close by, which offers a great selection of national and international eateries.

We offer our honored guests two spacious Rooftop Terraces with 360° views, where we serve you our huge complimentary breakfast. We also provide you with a spacious garden with a pool (15m²) and of course lots of little corners to relax in, which is where our name originates from (Rincón = Corner)!

Enjoy your holidays while relaxing in one of the many hammocks & deck chairs in the cabaña near the swimming pool, or organize a BBQ with your family and/or friends, we'll make sure to have plenty of carbon available free of charge! Rincón d'Olón is also available for your Weddings & Events for upto 35 guests!

Rincón d'Olón's Studio & Studio XL mini-apartments include a fully furnished kitchen! A continental Breakfasts is included in the price, and we offer dinners on the roof-terrace overlooking the town, ocean and hills of Olón! How did you like the accommodation?

     

They were very friendly and the owner Chris was helpful. The free breakfast was the biggest and best we have ever had in Equador. The room was a perfect size and was brilliantly designed. It had a trundle bed that allowed our son full comfort it had A/C. hot water, and enough hooks to hang wet beach stuff. It had a small pool and was close to the beach. We also had a small but fully loaded kitchenette that was perfect in every way. It is a great place

How did you like the accommodation?

     

Everything at the place is super clean. Room was very comfortable and the hotel is quiet. The breakfast was delicious and big. It's just a 2min walk to the beach. Staff is very polite and always happy to answer all kinds of questions.
