About
We are located in the centre of Spain's most famous surf beach. The 2km sandy beach in Zarautz is suitable for all surfers. The area is full of surf history and produces Spain's best surfers. We have great facilities, including showers, changing rooms, lockers, wetsuits and a great range of boards from our own surf factory. We speak Basque, Castilian, English, French, German and Portuguese.

- Due to changing tides exact surf lesson start times are not decided until the week of your lesson.
- After you book we will contact you the week of your lesson to tell you your lessons start time.
Private Surf
Our lesson are 1 hr 30 minutes in length. Zarautz is surfable on all tides so you can surf any time throughout the day. All our surf lessons are organised into private classes so you will have the utmost attention and progress much faster than being in a large group. We offer Surf lessons for beginners, intermediates & advanced. Surfboard & Wetsuit is included.

Zarautz is Spain's foremost Surf town - its beach is 2.5km of highly consistent surf offering many different peaks for all standards of surfers. The town is a great place to learn how to surf and has been home to many of Spain's Champion surfers including Aritz Arinburu.
Every September it hosts an WSL surf event with all the world's top Pro's out competing for the title.
A few kms East towards San Sebastian you'll find Orio - a very nice beachbreak in beautiful surroundings.
Further East is San Sebastian and it's city surf beach La Zurriola. Biarritz, France is 70 kms away. Hossegor & Capbreton are a bit further, 90kms away, both a great day trip.
West of Zarautz you will find many surf breaks including the world famous Mundaka, and Menakoz, Zamaia & Laga. A surfer's paradise

- A small deposit is required to secure your booking.
- Your balance is due when you arrive at the beach.
Cancelling
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
What happens if the surf school cancel the Surf Lessons?
In the rare occasion that conditions do not allow for the surf lesson to go ahead you will be given a full refund.

The lads had a good time surfing, the Pukas surf shop were great.  We loved the beach strip of Zarautz.
The surf school and staff was top. Zarautz beach absolutely brilliant. We loved the surroundings and lucked out with the weather
The surf lessons were excellent - Albert was lovely and had us all surfing by the end. I would have liked to receive a discount on further surf hire having committed to a week of lessons already. We would have benefitted from knowing the flag colours as this arrangement does not exist in Ireland.
We loved Zarautz! Pukas surfing were also great. Our instructor Nikolas was lovely. Hope we can go again sometime soon
Surf lessons were good. Instructor was good and spoke very good English. There was a problem initially as the first lesson was only an hour instead of the 90minutes expected, but we got that sorted for the second lesson.
Kids did great and even i managed to ride a couple of waves. The surf school were very helpful and welcoming.
We went surfing 2 of the days, the surf was good but busy, I think we could of picked a better time of the day to get in the water!. We rented boards from Pukas and were delighted to find the boards and the wetsuits were of really good quality compared to previous experiences with rental places.
Zarautz beach just what we wanted, girls enjoyed surf lessons and it was great for bodyborading.
The surf lessons were great. Jaimy is a very good teacher. It is nice that he also explained something about the sea and the current etc. We also liked it that we got the same teacher every day (except the first day) because he knew what we were able to the next day.
