About
Lunazul is a family run business located right in the main beach in Sayulita. We have lockers, changing rooms and bathrooms for our clients. We offer beginner, intermediate and private surf lessons and we'll take you surfing when conditions are optimal, taking into account swell, wind, tides and crowds. We also offer surf trips to the best waves in the surrounding area.

- Due to changing tides exact surf lesson start times are not decided until the week of your lesson.
- After you book we will contact you the week of your lesson to tell you your lessons start time.
Kids Surf
Priority: Safety and fun Things learnt: Going out safely past waves, standing up, falling safely. Max instructor ratio. 1:4 (usually 1:2) Duration: 1.5 hours Meeting point. Shop headquarters Included: Equipment (surfboard, leash, rashguard) *We provide lockers, bathrooms and changing rooms.
Beginner Surf
Priority: Safety and fun Things learnt: About equipment, popping up, falling safely, managing board in lineup, going out safely. Max instructor ratio. 1:4 Duration: 1.5 hours Meeting point. Shop headquarters Included: Equipment (surfboard, leash, rashguard) *We provide lockers, bathrooms and changing rooms.
Intermediate Surf
Priority: Bringing wave count up Things learnt: Weight distribution on board, more efficient paddling, reading waves, turning, trimming, cut back. Max instructor ratio. 1:4 Duration: 1.5 hours Meeting point. Shop headquarters Included: Equipment (surfboard, leash, rashguard) *We provide lockers, bathrooms and changing rooms.
Advanced Surf
Priority: Improving turning and getting more radical. Things learnt: Doing sharper turns, using parts of wave better. Improving flow. Max instructor ratio. 1:4 Duration: 1.5 hours Meeting point. Shop headquarters Included: Equipment (surfboard, leash, rashguard) *We provide lockers, bathrooms and changing rooms.
Private Surf

- Your balance is due when you arrive at the beach.
Cancelling
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
What happens if the surf school cancel the Surf Lessons?
In the rare occasion that conditions do not allow for the surf lesson to go ahead you will be given a full refund.
Debit/Credit cards are not accepted on site – cash only.
