We are a family run businesses with more than 15 years of experience in the industry. Here at Ohana, surfing is our life and we would love to share this beautiful sport and lifestyle with you, regardless of your age, level or experience. We only teach in small groups, to ensure quality tuition in a relaxed and professional environment.

- Due to changing tides exact surf lesson start times are not decided until the week of your lesson.
- After you book we will contact you the week of your lesson to tell you your lessons start time.
Kids Surf
We welcome children aged 6-12 to join our kids surf classes, aimed at developing their surfing skills and confidence in the water with our fully qualified and CRB checked coaches.Collection from your accommodation and parents are requested to be present/near during lessons. Board, wetsuit and all equipment supplied. Please bring water, suncream and snacks -lesson time 4-5 hours including driving.
Beginner Surf
Our lessons are broken down, to make it as simple as possible for you to master the basics. We will educate you on beach and water safety, before we guide you onto your first wave in the water! Our instructors will be in the water with you, providing constructive feedback and coaching tips. All equipment provided, pick up from your accommodation. Lesson time 4-5 hours including driving.
Intermediate Surf
We will help you work on and improve your stance, paddling technique, turning, wave selection, introduce you to catching green waves (un-broken waves) and a few other skills to take you to the next level.Our instructors will be with you in the water, providing constructive feedback and coaching tips. All equipment provided & pick up from your accommodation.Lesson time 4-5 hours including driving.
Advanced Surf
You should be able to catch and ride un-broken waves on a regular basis and be fairly comfortable going both directions. Course covers stance, positioning and take off,wave selection,turning,surf theory and surf fitness. Our instructors will be in the water with you providing coaching tips. All equipment provided and pick up from your accommodation. Lesson time 4-5 hours including driving.
Private Surf
1:1 or Private Couple/Group coaching sessions for beginners to advanced surfers. Tailor made lessons to ensure you receive focused, individual and specific coaching to suit your level of surfing.We will show you the best spots the island has to offer for your level of surfing. All equipment provided and pick up from your accommodation. Lesson time 4-5 hours including driving,
Surf Guide
1:1 or Private Couple/Group surfing for intermediate to advanced surfers.We will show you the best spots on offer for your level, while surfing with you in a relaxed and fun environment. No coaching included as this is just a service to help you gain the most out of your surf trip on the island. Equipment is not included but can be rented. Pickup included with 4-5 hour guide including driving.

Despite being the second largest of the Canary Islands, Fuerteventura is still a small island and only takes an hour and a half to drive its length. What this also means is that there is always a coast that is working and plenty of empty waves to be surfed! With practically 365 days of sunshine & 25ºC plus weather it has often been called the Hawaii of Europe.
Like the rest of Europe the Autumn/ Winter gets the biggest surf and the spring/summer is perfect for beginner/intermediate surf...The Canaries lie 100kms off Africa and are a magnet for North Atlantic swells. The island is known for both expert waves and many mellow beachbreaks perfect for intermediate improvers.
Corralejo is often the starting point for a Fuerteventura surf holiday, a perfect base and close to many breaks. The main surf break in town is Rocky Point. Perfect for intermediates, improvers and for long boarders. Further across is Los Lobos island (uninhabited) with a World Class right hand point that runs for up to 400metres.
South of Corralejo is beginners surf beach 'Flag beach', close to the famous Dunes. Further south there are many different beaches that pick up good swell.
The North Shore is what the island is famous for and where you will find a coastline full of just about every wave imaginable. El Hierro is a great spot - with 3 different sections suitable for intermediates to experts ('The Bubble'). On the North West coast is the small village of El Cotillo, and one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. It is a very nice intermediate beach break and also be on the look out as it is a nudist beach in parts.

Cancelling
- To cancel go to the MyAccount section and log in or register and you can cancel from within your account.
- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
What happens if the surf school cancel the Surf Lessons?
In the rare occasion that conditions do not allow for the surf lesson to go ahead you will be given a full refund.

I was very hesitant being a first time solo traveller and also learning to surf for the first time! I booked private lessons with Tee and was blown away by her enthusiasm, professionalism and support. I have achieved my life long dream of riding waves and I know I have made a friend for life! Thank you Tee and Ohana ( I will miss the bakery too) :)

How were the surf lessons?
My family and I booked a week of surf lessons and are absolutely hooked! Tee was great with the kids and really built their confidence in the water! My wife and I managed to clamber up on the board a few times and were lucky enough to get to surf at a few different spots around the island, which was a great addition too! We will be back!
