Location

The Kanalu Surfhouse in the Algarve is located in a villa in the beautiful natural park of the São Vicentino coast, just a few minutes walk from the sea. In our well to tended garden with view into the nature park you can relax after surfing and enjoy a drink at sunset with sea view. Perfect conditions and location for the surf vacation.

In addition to surfing and beaches, there are various typical Portuguese villages with good restaurants and bars. Those who want to experience something in the evening can stay in various bars with live music or in the nearby town of Aljezur. Lagos with its beautiful old town is just 25 minutes away. In the area there are various cultural festivals and attractions.

The surfhouse management is happy to give you tips on the area and events of the region or can help you translate Portuguese. It also offers a variety of other activities such as surf, yoga, massages, deep sea fishing, boat tours and horseback riding.

The Place

The surf house is located in a beautiful villa right in the Natural Park of the São Vicentino coast, just 5-10 minutes walk from Arrifana beach. The max. number of guests is 12. We cultivate a relaxed approach, that everyone feels good and comfortable in our surfhouse.

There are several single and double bed rooms, bathrooms, a living room and a large communal kitchen with all kitchen appliances. There is also a second covered outdoor kitchen in the garden which is also fully equipped. The house is divided into two floors, which can be rented completely for groups or families.

How did you like the accommodation?

     

Really nice and clean place with a great garden with several chill-areas. It's just about 5 min. to walk to the beach. There are some Bars and Restaurants in walking distance. Great place for your surf holidays

How did you like the surf lessons?

     

We booked some beginner lessons straight with the owner at the house. We were in a small group with a very good instructor.

How did you like the accommodation?

     

Super bad communication with the guest 2/3 days for an answer to an email/ whatsapp message . No Wi-Fi , no room cleaning , no new linen in 10 days stay. The guest is not friendly at all especially in the morning. The house is not 500 meters from the beach . At least is almost 1500 meters far.
A cock will wake you up every morning at 6 am.
Overpriced . Not recommended.

Alberto was a very anti social person. We had many barbecue nights and surf sessions with all the guests in the house, but he never joined for nothing. I think Alberto is not a person for a surf house or surf camp. We have Wifi, we clean rooms and our house is 500 m from the beach. Please leave you anger to somewhere else if you are unhappy! We had a great week! Thanks

Beginner Surf Lessons

Our lessons are 2x 1.5h per day. There are max. 8 Persons to one instructor. The surf lessons includes the surf equipment and wetsuit. There is a little lunch break between the two lessons.

Intermediate Surf Lessons

Our lessons are 2x 1.5h per day. There are max. 8 Persons to one instructor. The surf lessons includes the surf equipment and wetsuit. There is a little lunch break between the two lessons.

Advanced Surf Lessons

Our lessons are 2x 1.5h per day. There are max. 8 Persons to one instructor. The surf lessons includes the surf equipment and wetsuit. There is a little lunch break between the two lessons.

Surf Guide

We offer surf guiding for people they already know how to surf. It's a tour of 3 hours and has max. 5 people to one instructor.

  • A small deposit is required to secure your booking.
  • Your balance is due to the property 14 days before arrival. The Property will contact you to collect payment. If you book within this 14 days then the property will contact you shortly after you book to collect the balance.
