Location

The hostel is located in Porto da Cruz, a picturesque village located in the Northeast of the island, 15 minutes far by car from the airport and 30 minutes from the main city of Funchal. It´s famous for its breathtaking mountain landscapes and its dark volcanic sandy beaches, where you can find a monumental 600m high rock formation called “Penha D’Aguia”. The hostel is a 2 minute walk to the main beach, Praia da Alagoa, and a 5 minute walk to Praia da Maiata, where you will have your surf lessons!

The Place

Jaca Hostel is a small hostel located in the calm village of Porto da Cruz, in the Northeast of Madeira Island. Was built on the XIX century and restored since then, being until recently a family house. In a special place, where the green of the mountains finds the blue of the sea, you can find a cozy hostel with a decoration that mix the old and the new, for your holidays in Madeira Island to rest and connect with nature.
