Location

Santa Catalina, on the ocean front, directly in front of the paddle out channel with a direct view of the world to class Santa Catalina point break, which is the best surf point break in Panama and among the top surfing destinations in Central America.

The hotel is in the heart of Santa Catalina, nestled between the village and the Estero beach break, with various restaurants and cafes within very short walking distance. Estero beach, just a 5 minute walk from our hotel, offers several kilometers of sand bottom beach break ideal for beginner surfers or small children.

The boat transport to Coiba Island is just 2 minutes from our hotel. Santa Catalina is a 45 minute drive from the town of Sona, and 1.5 hour drive from the City of Santiago, in the Province of Veraguas.

Hotel Santa Catalina is also a short distance from Santa Catalina Island, and our guests often use our free kayaks or Stand to Up Paddle Boards to paddle over to the beautiful beaches on the island, just a 15 to 20 minute paddle.

The Place

Hotel Santa Catalina Panama is an 11 room Spanish-Colonial style boutique hotel on the point of Santa Catalina, with the paddle out channel at our doorstep, facing the world-class Santa Catalina point break.

The hotel offers 6 standard rooms with 4 single beds or 1 king and 2 singles. It has 4 suite rooms with kitchenettes with 3 single beds or 1 king and 1 single. It also has a family suite with kitchenette with 6 single beds or 2 kings and 2 singles. The hotel accommodates up to 42 guests. All rooms include air conditioning, private baths with hot water, blow drier, satellite TV, safety box, comfortable posture-pedic memory foam beds and high quality bed linens for a great nights sleep. The hotel offers 24 hour reception office, and kids play park.

The area is ideal for surfers of all skill levels as we have the point break out front for experienced surfers, and the Estero beach break just a 5 minute walk down the beach which is ideal for learning to surf.

The hotel has an on-site surf shop, with rentals and sales of surfboards and accessories. Free use of soft-boards, boogie boards, kayaks, and bicycles. Free Wi-Fi in our ocean front restaurant / bar and pool area.
