What is included:

This package includes:
- 7 nights' lodging at our surf camp (prices are per person and assume shared accommodation. A single supplement is available.)
- Breakfast at the camp & a packed lunch for the beach each day
- 6 Moroccan dinners at the camp
- 6 yoga sessions per week (1 hour per session). A second yoga session is available for additional cost.
- Yoga mats, Bolsters, Blankets and straps
- Group surf lessons for at least 4 hours a day with qualified surf instructors
- Surf equipment (surf board & wetsuit)
- Daily transportation between the camp and surf spots
- Transfers to and from Agadir area for arrival & departure (pick-up and drop-off at the airport or bus station)

Location

Tamraght is a lovely small Berber fishing village located on the side of a hill overlooking the ocean and one of the most consistent surf spots in the region. Banana Village (Aourir) is a few minutes’ drive to the south. Taghazout village is a quick drive to the north, and the city of Agadir is 15km to the south. These areas are connected by the #32 bus as well as taxis. We can arrange transportation and airport transfers.

The Place

Our surf camp is a traditional, Berber-style Moroccan home with four levels. We offer simple, clean and comfortable accommodation within walking distance of popular beaches and surf breaks! We can accommodate 21 people in a range of private and shared rooms with 4 bathrooms. Our chef serves incredible authentic Moroccan cuisine, or European if you prefer, and we can accommodate dietary restrictions. We have a large selection of surfboards and wetsuits, and our experienced instructors are able to improve your surfing no matter what your level is.

How did you like the accommodation?

     

I really enjoyed my stay at Original Surf Morocco - the place is so relaxed!

Even though it was low season and I was the only one at the camp I never felt lonely or alone and yet never felt overwhelmed either, it's a really convivial atmosphere.

Abdullah (the owner) is a really chilled out and accommodating guy with a ready smile & a totally hospitable attitude - he and his brother Omar (the amazing cook) dealt with my gluten free requirements no problem, even though it's totally at odds with the moroccan diet.

Yoga with Chanti on the terrace was also a highlight as we're the nightly dinners with Abdullah, Ann & Yussef whilst watching the sunset, I felt really blissed and chilled out at all times- so much so that I can't wait to return next year.

How did you like the surf lessons?

     

The surf instructors Yussef and Yassim are two patient and fun guys - but SO cheeky! (Watch out girls! Lol.) They got me standing up on the first day and were really patient with me when I was failing thereafter. They also usually share a meal or two with you at the camp and will answer any questions you have about the local area or Moroccan culture in general- they're really lovely guys.

How did you like the accommodation?

     

I went to Original Surf Morocco with 3 other girls and from the moment we arrived I felt completely welcome and at home. Every morning we got up and did an hours yoga on the terrace with a view of the see and the wonderful Fee as our teacher who was absolutely lovely and the best start to the day. Then a good brekki (had the most amazing cake one day).
After surf, we came back in the evenings for dinner and a chill out where we learnt some crazy Moroccan card game or some Uno or Jenga or chatting to Ann who has some brilliant travel stories. One day we had a trip out to Paradise Valley which was a beautiful place to visit.

As well as a great surfing experience, we also learnt a lot about Morrocan culture with the guys being open and ready to answer any particular questions that we had. I definitely learnt a lot.

I would happily go and stay here on my own as well as everyone here just made you feel you were part of the family. I was so sad to leave and will definitely be back.

How did you like the surf lessons?

     

Surfing with Youssef and Yassim with good tunes for the drive down and always wondering what the amazing packed lunch was going to be. The guys were so patient for teaching the surfing, with brilliant sense of humour even when they were constantly repeating themselves.

Abdullah (the owner) also joined in on some surf lessons and like the other guys was incredibly patient and encouraging. I have never been quite so determined to want to achieve something and definitely have the surfing bug now.

I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good surfing experience/ wants to try this for the first time and to completely relax and enjoy some good food and company.

Surf Lessons we offer:

Kids Surf Lessons

We pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the suitable surf spot. The lesson is for kids aged 7-12 and includes: surfboards and wetsuits. The safety is one of our priorities.

Beginner Surf Lessons

Our lessons are 2hours in the morning with qualified surf instructor and after lunch two other hours you will practice what you learned with an instructor eye on you to correct and/or adjust what is necessary in your surfing. We wick you up from your accommodation and drop you off after the surf lesson.

Intermediate Surf Lessons

We will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the suitable surf spot in the day, the instructor will be with you in the water to give feedback and tips to improve your surf skills. We will drive you back to your accommodation after the surf lesson.

Advanced Surf Lessons

We pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the best surf spot. A local surf guide will be with you during your surfing to show you the uncrowded surf spot. A packed lunch is offered with water after that you will move to other surf spot or you will stay in the some surf spot if the waves still good. The transportation back to your accommodation is offered after a day of surf.

Private Surf Lessons

We will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the beach for a surf lesson.

Surf Guide

The transportation is available from / to your accommodation.

Yoga

We offer Yoga once a day on our roof top terrace with our resident yoga instructor " Louise" the second session is available for an extra fee.
