to Welcome to Lisbon by Sail: 7 Days Surf Camp, staying on board a Schooner!
Enjoy a relaxed stay aboard while learning how to surf with this all to in to one to package.
Unique experience connecting the boat and surf life! Your accommodation will be in an amazing schooner docked in the Marine, close to Lisbon's center.
We provide shuttle service from the boat to the great surf spot in Costa da Caparica where we will have access to the surfing school with shower, changing room, bar and a chill out area. Five days surfing lessons with a certified professor are included, as the wet to suit and board rental as well. Three healthy and tasty meals a day are included and the good vibes on board the boat are guaranteed!
Experience the boat life, even being in the middle of the alive and sunny Lisbon. We will be docked in the marine, so you can sleep with the sounds and balance of the river, and wake up for a breakfast on the deck, with beautiful views, and then go and explore all the beauty of the City, taste the amazing food, enjoy the beach and the nightlife around.
About the schooner, it includes a deluxe captain cabin, one double and one twin suites, and a 4 beds dorm. The Captain cabin can be converted in room for 3 or 4 people on request, giving a maximum of 10/12 guests on board per night.
The boat has a fully equipped kitchen, two interior common areas/ living rooms, one interior dining room and, of course, a 36m deck for sun baths and outside dinners.
Free wi to fi is also included.
Location
You will be anchored in Doca de Alcântara, the best Marina in Lisbon, that hosts in its surroundings a number of national and international restaurants, bars, terraces and other services, including a tennis court. From here you have a privileged view over the river Tagus and the south bank while observing all the charm of the city of Lisbon and its unique luminosity. All of this will be part of the environment framing the most beautiful sunset to our dinners outside.
Near to some of Lisbon’s historic monuments (as Jeronimos Monastery, Torre de Belém and Padrão dos Descobrimentos) as well as Museums (National Museum of Ancient Art, Museum of the Orient) and the historic district of Madragoa, Doca de Alcântara’S location also gives you the possibility of explore Lisbon’s most dynamic spots: LX Factory, a creative mini to city that has everything from interesting architecture to music, home to design companies, galleries, studios, restaurants and bars.
In addition to the natural and cultural beauty of Portugal, the country is also the stage for thousands of summer festivals and concerts and the biggest one happens only two train stops away from Doca de Alcântara: NOS Alive that brings to Lisbon, every July, some of the most renown artists as Pearl Jam, Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, The National just to name a few.

Downtown Lisbon city itself does not have a beach and walking around siteseeing you may be oblivious to the fact that dozens of beautiful white sandy surf beaches are only a 5 minute car drive away (Or 4 train stops!)
The surrounding beaches pick up all the swells the Atlantic have to offer making it one of the most consistent surf destinations in the World.
The area has a good selection for all standards. Closest to the city would be Caxias & Santo Amaro de Oeiras. Caxias is a beautiful beach that on its day can produce perfect lefthander barrels. Oeiras is more of a winter wave and is one of the best waves in Portugal.
Next stop is Carcavelos, probably Portugal's most famous wave. Its one of the best beach breaks in Europe and regularly hosts National competitions. It suits all standards, a perfect place to learn and a great place to score some fast beach barrels with multiple peaks along the 1km stretch of beach.
There are many other spots along the coastline that runs from Lisbon out to Estoril & Cascais. Long boarders will love Sao Pedro and short boarders will thrive on spots like Poca and Sao Joao. Then on the other side of Cascais there is the stunning long white sandy Guincho beach, one of Portugal's most consistent surf spots, usually best in the morning as it can be exposed to afternoon onshore winds.
Across the river Tejo in Setubal, a 20 minute drive away, is the less crowded Costa de Caparica. Perfect for beginner/intermediates as the man made jetties create nice consistent waves. The beach stretches for 30kms and all of it is surfable!
Lisbon is also a great base to explore other regions. The surf mecca of Ericeira is only 35 minutes drive away and 1 hour north is Peniche, host of the WSL World Tour every October.

CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING

- Your deposit is non refundable but can be used for the same property/surf school within one year of your original booking.
