This is one of our favourite places. Its a perfect base for a surfing holiday in Spain. You can spend all your time on the beach or mix it up with day surf trips to San Sebastian (20 minutes away), Mundaka, Bilbao or Biarritz & Hossegor in France - all within an hours drive. The streets of the old town are packed with bars, cafes, restaurants and shops but the main attraction is the 2.5km surf beach. Its a beginners and intermediate surfers paradise. Ocean Pilates was a great success last year and will be on from Easter 2010 - End of Sept 2010. It was a great success this summer - each person paddles out on a Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board in the calm waters of Getaria bay, 3kms from Zarautz, and spend the afternoon doing Pilates out on the board in the Ocean!
