  • Everything was perfect. The hotel was great, nice staff and excellent location. The surf lessons were perfect for us since we’ve never done it before. Even though I was quite clumsy I had so much fun. The beaches and San Sebastian itself is a must go to place. We loved it there, the old town, the city beach, restaurants and the people. It is our new favourite town in Spain and we will be back! Thank you for great service. Linn and Glenn -Vik i Sogn, Norway

  • We had a fab time. The accommodation in San Seb was fab - really good value and great location. The surfing was good. Really liked the instructor and the surf. We loved San Seb and didn't want to leave. Food was amazing - your restaurant recommendations were great. Biarritz was a good place too, although I was sad to leave SS so I didn't warm to it as much! I thought your service was excellent and I would def book another holiday through you, and recommend you to friends - Anne, London

  • Everything was great! I was very pleased with the hotel which was right on the beach and was very clean, modern, safe, etc., with a 24-hour receptionist. My lesson also went smoothly - everyone at Pukas was really friendly. I really loved San Sebastian and would recommend it to pretty much anyone. It's definitely a surfing town. Also, the beach is gorgeous and there's a great view of the mountains as well. Restaurants to recommend: definitely Borda Berri and Cuchara de San Telmo. Thanks again for everything. Also, my friend who travelled with me is an experienced surfer and rented his board from Pukas and was really happy with them - Emily, NYC

  • We booked our package through Surf Holidays and found the process to be very easy. We chose San Sebastian, and the surf school and accommodation were really good. The Pukas surf school could not have done anymore for our group. It was the most accommodating surf school I have ever been to. The accommodation was small, but clean and functional. Great vibe in the town, good surf and all in all a fun weekend - Gareth Grant, London

  • We really enjoyed our time in San Sebastian and later, up the coast, in Biarritz. Hotel in San Sebastian was ok. Very friendly, clean and close to the beach and the city. We surfed with the Pukkas surf school on the Zurriola beach front. Very good school. No hesitation in recommending them. San Sebastian old town was great and very reasonable to eat and drink in - Alan, Dublin

  • We had a great time in San Sebastian. It was my first time surfing and I couldn't have asked for a better trip or place to learn. Lucila and the gang at Pukas surf were great. We loved the private lessons surfing (with Ramon) and the opportunites that we were given, we were very impressed with his ability to develop the potential of us, if he saw that you were progressing very quickly he would keep challenging you. It wasn't serious all the time, we had plenty of laughs and really good time at the beach everyday. In regards to San Sebastian its truelly one of the most beautiful cities i have ever been to, the highlight being the funicular to the top of Mount Igueldo and a view of the entire city from the top, spectacular! The hotel suited us perfectly and the location was great. We used the map that was in the Hotel to pick where to go and eat, I have to say they have great recommendations on it. you were right about not needing a car as there seemed to be no spaces free. All in all it was a great trip and some where I would recommend to anyone thinking of going to San Sebastian or interested in a surfing holiday. Thanks for everything, Emma & Liz, Dublin

  • The holiday was awesome - probably the best we've ever had. San Sebastian was fantastic, the beach was beautiful and the surfing instructor was extremely patient! All the restaurants recommended were spot on, we went to La Perla overlooking La Concha beach twice and the city had everything we needed: from nightlife to quiet cafes. The hotel was great, the views from the superior bedroom were spectacular. I'd recommend the hols to anyone - although, in absolute honesty, I probably won't because I don't want anyone else discovering or ruining my new paradise! (-; We'll defo be back at some stage next year. Hope this helps - Wayne & Jenni, Frome, Somerset

  • Was amazing will defo be back, such a great location and what super cool sun sets. I injured myself the week before i travelled so no surfing for me so was gutted but defo next time. Didn’t make it to Zarrutz but went to Biarritz. San Sebastian old town classic pixtos etc ate in a couple of restaurants as well and then pizza outside the Hotel Mumpas as well. Accommodation was pretty good and was good value for money, I thought and they were very helpful with everything we were looking for in my best espanol. David, Dublin

  • Loved it, the perfect hotel for a surf holiday. Checked the surf every morning from our bedroom, walked a few metres to the beach cafe for some breakfast, and a few metres more and we were surfing! The hotel is very modern and comfortable, and the location is fantastic - head back in the evening and watch the sunset from the promenade or your hotel room! The Old town is on the other side of the beach a few minutes away. The small streets and squares are really lively. We mostly ate the pinxtos at the bar while doing pub crawls through the little streets. Rich & Edel, Kildare

  • The hotel was lovely, we couldnt have asked for anything more. San Sebastian is one of the most beautiful and romantic cities we have ever been to - the view from the top of Monte Igueldo is spectacular. We did 4 days of surf lessons and really liked it, Surfing instructor was sound and very good, got up on board a good bit from the second day. Its an amazing setting with the two big hills on either side of the beach. Clare & Tom, Cambridge
